Bueno, con la entrada de hoy acabaré de explicar las opciones que conozco para acceder al trabajo. Posiblemente existan más opciones, como que otros países permitan el acceso a extranjeros, pero ya es ir demasiado lejos.
Una opción alternativa es acceder al control militar, no tengo gran información al respecto, tampoco he querido acercarme demasiado, pues personalmente la carrera militar no me interesa. En principio puedes conseguir acceso para trabajar en aeropuertos como Badajoz, Torrejón, Salamanca, Zaragoza… todos aquellos aeropuertos en los que las aeronaves militares cumplan servicio, en algunos de ellos el controlador militar se encarga también del tráfico civil y en algunos otros, controladores civiles y militares trabajan codo con codo. De la forma de acceso no tengo mucha idea, he intentado buscar información, pero no encuentro demasiada cosa útil al margen de una web de una asociación de controladores militares en la que no he encontrado información acerca de cómo llegar a ser uno de ellos: www.sodecta.org
Otra opción que los españoles suelen barajar es la de acceder al trabajo mediante NATS, la empresa que presta servicio al control aéreo en el Reino Unido. Las condiciones que imponen para ser seleccionable son: ser mayor de 18 años y menor de 36, poder trabajar en el Reino Unido y pasar unas pruebas de inglés, matemáticas… superando la nota C (equivalente a un 6 o similar en nuestro país). Has de enviarles la solicitud de acceso, si cumples los requisitos te proponen un examen de matemáticas por internet, superado esto te citan en Inglaterra para realizar una serie de test, un cuestionario de personalidad y el último paso es superar unas entrevistas que buscan tu motivación y la razón de tu elección. Superado esto en no más de 3 meses se comenzaría el curso de formación que durará entre 6 y 11 meses dependiendo la especialización (controlador de área o de terminal) y tras esto comienza un proceso de habilitación que llega a durar unos 2 años.
